Bob Lord Bob Lord was named president of Avenue A | Razorfish – East Region in July 2004. From February 2003 to July 2004, he served as executive vice president of SBI.Razorfish’s East Region. From November 2000 to February 2003, Lord was chief operating officer (COO) of Razorfish, which was acquired by SBI Group. From July 1995 to June 2000, he was the COO and executive vice president of Prism Rehab Systems, a professional services firm in the healthcare sector. From May 1991 to June 1995, Lord was a partner consultant with Symmetrix, a strategic systems re-engineering consulting firm. He holds a BS in engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Clark Kokich Clark Kokich was appointed CEO of Avenue A | Razorfish, Worldwide in July 2007, following a two year tenure as Worldwide President. Prior to that Kokich was president of the West Region for a year. From May 2001 to July 2004, he served as president of Avenue A - Seattle and Chicago. From October 2000 to May 2001, Kokich served as president of Digital Marketing Solutions, Seattle. From January 2000 to October 2000, he served as senior vice president, Diversified Services, and from July 1999 to January 2000 as vice president and general manager, Growth Markets Division. From April 1996 to October 1998, Kokich served as president and chief executive officer of Calla Bay, Inc., an apparel retailer. From January 1992 to April 1996, he served as director of sales & marketing for AT&T Wireless Services, a wireless telecommunications provider. Kokich holds a BS degree from the University of Oregon.
David Friedman was named president of Avenue A | Razorfish – Central Region in 2004, where he has overseen the region’s rapid growth. He has spent the last 20 years
helping companies grow sales and customer relationships through the use of digital
technologies. Dave also serves as an industry thought leader by providing commentary
on a wide range of timely interactive marketing topics, including penning a monthly
column for ChiefMarketer.
Colin Kinsella was appointed president of Avenue A | Razorfish's West Region in March 2007. He manages the growth and profitability of the agency's operations in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and serves as an executive consultant for key clients including Visa, Genentech, Singapore Airlines, Ancestry.com, and Williams-Sonoma. Kinsella joined Avenue A | Razorfish in 2004 as general manager of California, which includes the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. He has more than 20 years' experience in traditional and online advertising. He joined Avenue A | Razorfish from Quinstreet, an online marketing and technology company. Prior to that, he was an EVP at Foote Cone & Belding in San Francisco, and held positions at FCB London and FCB Chicago. Colin is the vice chair for the Northern California American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA); chairman of the AAAA's western region interactive and new media committee; and an advisor to the Board of Animated Speech. He holds a MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from the University of Dayton.
Darin Brown
Appointed in May 2007 as Avenue A | Razorfish's first chief strategy officer, Darin creates a catalyst for leveraging thought leadership and driving innovation throughout the global agency. In his role, Darin leads the agency’s discipline areas, including analytics, strategy, technology, media, creative design, search, user experience and enterprise solutions. He is also responsible for the agency’s partnership program and corporate marketing efforts. A 10-year veteran of Avenue A | Razorfish, Darin has held many operational roles including president of the West Region, where managed operations in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He led the agency’s efforts in building integrated digital marketing capabilities and provided strategic and business development leadership for many of the agency’s clients, including Nike and Samsung. Darin began his career in 1990 with Leo Burnett Toronto (now part of Publicis Groupe), where he created the award-winning Leo Burnett Interactive Group (now ARC). From there, he joined CKS in 1998 and became Managing Director of the Portland office. He went on to successfully manage the business through four acquisitions: USWeb/CKS, marchFIRST, SBI.Razorfish, and Avenue A | Razorfish. Darin is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario. James Warner was named executive vice president of Avenue A | Razorfish – East Region in July 2004. From January 2000 to July 2004, he served as president of Avenue A/NYC. From September 1998 to December 1999, Warner served as president of Third Floor Enterprises, a consulting firm that provided services to online and traditional media companies. From February 1998 to September 1998, he served as president of the Magazine Division of Primedia, Inc., a diversified media company. From February 1995 to September 1997, Warner served as president of the CBS Television Network, a division of CBS, Inc., a broadcasting and communications company. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA from Yale University.
Keith Metzger was appointed to head the international region for Avenue A | Razorfish in January 2005. In this role, he leads all mergers and acquisitions activity outside the U.S. and also has responsibility for all overseas offices. Previously, he served as Vice President of Client
Services, beginning in 2003. Prior to joining Avenue A | Razorfish, Keith
served as president of a digital services division of The Interpublic Group
in New York. An early pioneer in the digital services industry, Keith founded
a California-based agency in the late 1980’s – serving clients that included
IBM, Apple, HP, and Motorola. He later moved into the consumer software
field where he conceived of and guided the creation of a successful line of
educational and entertainment software products published globally by
Time Warner and Pearson. Keith began his career in agency public
relations and holds a B.A. degree from the University of the Pacific.
Sydney Hunsdale was named Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations in October
2007 and is responsible for the financial strategy and operations of all Avenue A |
Razorfish offices worldwide. Sydney joined Avenue A | Razorfish in February 2006 to
lead the company’s finance and operations worldwide. Prior to joining Avenue A |
Razorfish, Sydney spent 23 years (1983-2006) with DDB in Seattle as one of the
agency’s original employees. During her tenure, she held several positions, including
EVP Media Director, EVP Group Account Director, Managing Partner, and during the last
five years, Chief Operating Officer. Sydney started her career in advertising for a
large regional retailer (1972-1981) and also spent time in broadcast media for a CBS
affiliate (1981-1983). She serves on the national board for The Partnership for a
Drug-Free America and is on the advisory board for Ronald McDonald House Charities of
Western Washington.
Terry Carney Terry brings more than 14 years of experience in graphics design and new media to Avenue A | Razorfish in Australia, which operates under the name Amnesia Group. From strategy to animation, his wide variety of experience in planning, execution and implementation of video, animated and digital projects – in both traditional and online media -- is an invaluable asset to our clients’ businesses. Terry is a co-founder of Amnesia and has been responsible building the client portfolio and positioning of the business in Asia Pacific.
Iain McDonald Iain is a founding member of Avenue A | Razorfish in Australia, which operates under the name Amnesia Group. He plays an active role in most projects within the studio. Iain is a well respected and leading authority in the digital media arena with more than 18 years of experience in the field. Iain has been involved in many pioneering Internet and new media projects with dozens of leading international companies. He regularly speaks at events, representing companies such as Adobe to offer his insight into specific topics such as interface design, viral marketing and creative and technological integration. As the co-founder of Amnesia, Iain has been responsible building the technology and strategy sides of the business.
Andreas Gahlert Andreas is the managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in Germany, which operates under the name NEUE DIGITALE. In September 1996 he founded the Creative Agency for Digital Marketing, where he is responsible for consulting, client service direction and new business. In 2006 he was voted as “German Web Personality of The Year.” In 2004, he initiated the research group “Interactive Marketing,” where he remains a spokesperson. Andreas has a degree in engineering and economics. His professional experience also includes work for agencies such as Witte Design and Pixelfactory prior to his starting his own business with NEUE DIGITALE.
Olaf Czeschner Olaf Czeschner is a managing director of creative at Avenue A | Razorfish in Germany, which operates under the name NEUE DIGITALE. Olaf became a managing partner for NEUE DIGITALE in 1999 after working for years as an independent designer in Germany, the United States, and the Netherlands. As the top creative leader at NEUE DIGITALE, Olaf Czeschner has won more than 100 industry awards and has been a member of many juries, including Cannes International Advertising Festival, The One Show Interactive, The Cresta Grand Jury, ADC New York, The New York Festivals Interactive, and ADC Germany. Olaf has a degree in communications design.
Royce Lee Royce Lee is joint managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in China and Hong Kong, which operates under the name e-Crusade. He is a seasoned professional in brand management, strategic consulting and research. Royce co-founded e-Crusade with the vision that business and marketing are going to be more data-driven and scientific with the digital platform. Royce spearheads the strategic development and project implementation for leading initiatives of Coca-Cola, HSBC, Hong Kong Tourism Board, and PCCW. He started his career with Nestle China Ltd. He advanced his career in brand management with Coca-Cola China Ltd, where he served as marketing manager of both Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. Royce received both his master and bachelor degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Venus Lee Venus Lee is joint managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in China and Hong Kong, which operates under the name e-Crusade. Venus co-founded e-Crusade in 1999. Currently, she oversees the overall operations of the company and crafts the online branding strategies for well-known brands, including Nike, Coca-Cola, HSBC and L'Oreal. Venus has more than 10 years of experience in marketing and brand management in the Hong Kong and China markets. She is a veteran in building brand awareness in the online arena and in creating consumer experience through solid integration between business strategy and technology. Prior to establishing her own company, Venus worked in Nestle Hong Kong on brand management and was stationed in Beijing. She recently helped to establish the first e-Crusade office in Shanghai. Venus earned her bachelor's degree in business administration and is the graduate of the Executive MBA Program from Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also lectures in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University.
Neil Miller Neil is joint managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in the United Kingdom, formerly known as DNA. He has served in this capacity since DNA was founded in 1996, with a focus on client service and delivery. Prior to that, he was sales director at .Net magazine, one of the founding specialist Internet titles in the United Kingdom. He was also head of sales for Campaign magazine, part of Haymarket magazines.
Chris Perry Chris is joint managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in the United Kingdom, formerly known as DNA. He is responsible for the office’s strategy team that specializes in web, mobile, and iTV. Chris has been involved in iTV in the United Kingdom for several years. He delivered the first multi-channel iTV presence for the British government on both satellite and cable platforms, he lead the iTV pilot program for Sony Play Station, and he has provided iTV consultancy for a number of organizations. Before co-founding DNA in 1995, Chris was a strategist at Ogilvy & Mather, working with Ford. Chris graduated from Manchester Business School with a BSC in management science.
Reo Watanabe Reo Watanabe is president & chief executive officer of Avenue A | Razorfish’s
presence in Japan, which operates under the name Dentsu | Avenue A | Razorfish
(formerly Digital Palette). Reo founded Digital Palette, the interactive arm of
Dentsu, in April 2001 and has served as president and chief executive officer since
its inception. He applied his 19 years of professional marketing and advertising
experience to build Digital Palette into one of the largest digital marketing firms
in Japan. In order to further strengthen its capabilities in interactive services,
Digital Palette formed a capital and business alliance with Avenue A | Razorfish, and
changed its name to Dentsu | Avenue A | Razorfish in February 2007. Prior to
establishing Digital Palette, Reo worked in account management at Dentsu, the largest
advertising agency in Japan. He led numerous, holistic marketing campaigns for
multinational clients including Nestle, American Express and Softbank. He holds an
MBA in Marketing Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from Hitotsubashi University. He also serves on
the Board of Directors of Fractalist China, a leading mobile marketing company in China.
Christine Santarelli Christine is co-managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in France, which operates
under the name Duke. She works with international brands to develop innovative
websites, online advertising campaigns, and award-winning CRM programs for clients
including Nissan, McDonald's, Nike, PlayStation, and Procter & Gamble. Her critical
insight and eye are respected within the industry, and she serves on juries for local
and international award competitions such as Cannes Cyberlions, Eurobest,
International Cresta Advertising Awards, and Prix Stratégies. Christine began her
career in interactive by producing CD-ROMs and designing soundscapes. Soon, she was
crafting Internet creative strategy for ConnectWorld, an interactive agency of Havas,
where she worked on brands including Hachette Filipacchi Grolier and Canal + Group.
In 1999, Christine and colleague Matthieu de Lesseu left ConnectWorld in order to
found Duke, building it into one of France’s leading interactive agencies, with 100+
employees.
Matthieu de Lesseux Matthieu is co-managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in France, which operates
under the name Duke. Matthieu works with international brands to develop innovative
websites, online advertising campaigns, and award-winning CRM programs for clients
including Nissan, McDonald's, Nike, PlayStation, and Procter & Gamble. Since 2003,
Matthieu has been vice president of the French AACC and president of its interactive
branch, which consists of 18 leading interactive agencies in France. An early
believer in the power of the Internet, Matthieu formed his own software development
firm at age 22 (later sold to the Sage Group). He then went to work at Gédéon agency,
building and growing its multimedia arm, producing CD-ROMs (for clients like Musée du
Louvre) and doing innovative interactive work. During this period, he helped a number
of brands such as Dior, Chanel, Elle, and 3 Suisses take their first baby steps
online. In 1997, Matthieu moved to Havas to help start ConnectWorld, the group's
interactive agency, where he helped to launch some of the earliest Internet ventures
for BNP Paribas, Peugeot, and LVMH group. At ConnectWorld, he met Christine
Santarelli. Together, they founded Duke and built it into one of France's leading
interactive agencies with 100+ employees.
